The Wire’s Michael Hyatt’s intense performance as Susan, who thinks she’s on a mission from God, launches this duo into the top spot this week. FILM REVIEW; Following an Addict on Her Uphill Road to Redemption
By STEPHEN HOLDEN

"The core of the movie follows the heroic attempt by Alix's neighbor Digna (Michael Hyatt), a successful young photographer and herself a recovering addict, to rescue Alix. Digna, who has become a chronicler of the demimonde she used to inhabit, pays the neighborhood addicts $10 to let her take pictures of them. Galleries and fashion editors in pursuit of heroin chic have lionized her work, and the money is rolling in. With the support of a devoted boyfriend, Anthony (Nestor Rodriguez), a stand-up comic, Digna's future seems rosy. ...Ms. Hyatt's Digna radiates sweetness, sorrowful wisdom and rather frightening vulnerability."
